Linguistic Mediation Science Degree program (L-12 degree).
Unicollege will train you to become a professional figure in the communication and Brand management, in the Fashion e Design world.
You will learn about basic marketing and the potentials of commerce nationwide and on the Web, as well as the communication techniques of the fashion and design sectors, and the social dynamics involved in the evolution of design and the “Fashion and Luxury” concept.
Mastering to control at least two foreign languages at a translator and interpreter level, you will develop a vocabulary intended for the fashion sector.
This specialization will enable you to develop your passions and turn them into a profession suited to the national and the international stage.
At the end of the three year period, you will have nothing else to do but to choose the right path for you: from the role of Media sector Producer, to the communication and Brand development expert one, from the role of new markets’ trends analyst, to the one of communications’ developer for new markets in E.U and non-E.U areas.
Upon completion of the three year program in Fashion and Design Management, you will work as:
- Professional translator specialized in the Fashion Design sector and in the “Made in Italy” brand.
- Global markets’ languages expert.
- Publicist and producer for the fashion and design sectors.
- P.R. for events at national level and connected to the fashion and design world.
- Expert of market trends analysis and media coverage operator.
- Foreign texts editor for various communication channels for the promotion of brands and start-ups.
- Responsible for management internalization and for the brands of the fashion and design production chain.
- Operator for new market’s research and for the creation of intercultural offers.
This is your study plan to work as a linguistic mediator in Fashion and Design Management. First of all, however, you will need to decide whether you wish to graduate as a translator or also as an interpreter.
Translator and interpreter, in fact, are two different professions. For this reason Unicollege offers teachings, labs and training that are tailored to each professional figure. Follow the path that best suits your ambitions.
You will analyse a written text, and you will convert it to another language, making sure the translated version conveys with the meaning of the original as clearly as possible.

Learning a language is a question of technique. With these mediation techniques, Unicollege will teach you to hone it like no one else.
Active and passive translation
You will learn to convert a written text from the source language into the target language (active) and from the target language into the source language (passive).
Consecutive interpreting
You will learn a specific note-taking technique that will enable you to translate and repeat the speech just heard.
Dialogue interpreting
With this technique you will be able to be the third person who mediates and interpret what is said by two interlocutors who do not speak the same language, in situations such as work meetings, business trips or company visits. Without technical aids.
Simultaneous interpreting (optional lab)
By enrolling to our labs, equipped with soundproof booths, you will learn how to translate and repeat in real time any speech made in a foreign language.
In order to register for the exam, you must attend at least 75% of the yearly total number of hours of every single teaching. Lectures will take place from Monday to Friday.
