Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Languages and Global Careers
Standing as a distinguished institution within the Italian and European higher education landscape, Unicollege offers Bachelor’s Degrees in Applied Languages and Global Careeers, designed for students seeking an international, professionally oriented academic pathway. As an internationally accredited, degree-granting university recognized by the Italian Ministry of University and Research, Unicollege awards qualifications that are fully valid both nationally and internationally. This institutional recognition ensures that graduates can access global career opportunities as well as postgraduate education across diverse international systems.
Unicollege is uniquely positioned as an ideal destination for international degree-seeking students. English serves as the primary language of instruction across all programmes, and all members of the academic community—students, faculty, and staff—are required to demonstrate advanced proficiency in the English language. This shared linguistic framework ensures a fully integrated and accessible academic environment, allowing international students to transition seamlessly into university life while engaging within a truly global classroom.
At the core of the Bachelor’s degree lies a distinctive, self-designed academic structure that enables students to combine the study of two or three foreign languages with a professional concentration. Students may select from a portfolio of ten languages—including European and Asian options, many of which can be started from beginner level—and pair them with one of six concentrations. This dual-focus model ensures that graduates acquire two of the most sought-after competencies in today’s global economy: advanced multilingual proficiency and specialized professional expertise. Through this structure, students actively shape their academic and professional trajectory, determining both the geographic and sectoral contexts in which they intend to operate.
Each program is delivered through the Unicollege 3As Learning Model—Acquire, Apply, Amplify—an integrated academic framework that ensures the progressive development of knowledge, applied competencies, and professional awareness. Courses are designed to move from theoretical foundations to guided application and, ultimately, to experiential learning in real-world contexts. This methodology guarantees that academic learning remains both rigorous and directly aligned with contemporary professional environments.
In addition to coursework, all students complete a mandatory internship and a final thesis project. Internships are embedded within the academic curriculum and are supported by a network of over 500 partner organizations in Italy and abroad, offering on-site, hybrid, or remote experiences aligned with each student’s concentration. The final thesis represents the culmination of the academic journey and is defended in the foreign languages studied throughout the degree, demonstrating advanced linguistic proficiency alongside disciplinary expertise.
Internationalization constitutes a central pillar of the Unicollege academic model. Degree-seeking students may have access to funded study abroad opportunities across more than 40 countries and four continents, in collaboration with over 90 partner universities worldwide (via the Erasmus+ program). These experiences may be supported by financial stipends that contribute to covering the cost of mobility, ensuring accessibility and continuity within the academic pathway.
Unicollege is among the few institutions in Italy to maintain active academic partnerships with universities in North America, enabling students to undertake study periods in prestigious institutions without additional tuition fees. Furthermore, the university offers double degree programs in collaboration with partner institutions in countries such as China, Spain, Portugal, and the United Kingdom, allowing students to obtain two academic qualifications simultaneously—one from Unicollege and one from the host institution.
This integrated system of linguistic training, specialization, international mobility, and applied learning results in strong graduate outcomes, with approximately 91% of students either employed or engaged in postgraduate studies within one year of graduation. Graduates become part of an extensive international alumni network, positioned across multiple sectors and global regions.
Language acquisition is a defining component of the Unicollege model. Students study two or three foreign languages selected from a diverse portfolio including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese. The first language typically requires a pre-intermediate (B1) level upon entry, while additional languages may be started from beginner level depending on the chosen combination. Intensive preparatory courses are available for students who need to reach the required proficiency prior to the start of the academic year. Therefore, students from any linguistic background can apply.
